Wait until after the test b4 you begin to even think of the consequences. And, btw, you are not horrible for worrying about the health of a child, or your ability to care for a child with defects. Perfectly normal worries! If you need the meds, there is no question, you have to take the meds. I'm sure your p-doc will be there for you to help you. If you're not pregnant have you considered some type of birth control? I know this sounds mean, I don't mean to be, but I have been there and wasn't using any, so I can see what you're going through.
