I agree with that, definitely. Allowing a child the freedom to be who they are is, I think, the greatest gift you can give them. I think it's hypocritical, or at least contradictory really to say they need the freedom to be a "child" when that implies a preconcieved definition of what a child is, and that's not freedom. They deserve the freedom to be who they are. I've met children who have no interest in
what most consider to be kid stuff.
We never really know from the outside whether or not a child is being pushed beyond their limits.
