I saw this girl on a talk show. She spoke like a little professor when discussing her pictures and the symbolism in them. I also agree that her work is fairly conventional when compared to works of older established artists but I think what she does at age 10 is quite incredible. Who knows what she'll be capable of 30+ years from now.
I also think that sometimes young kids are pushed too hard and it can really damage them in many ways - the most obvious being that they miss their childhoods entirely. But some of these geniuses really need to follow their passions and would rather do that than anything else. Maybe it's cruel to not let them indulge their interests as much as they'd like.
