Hey Jen,

You probably did it because you're polite, you don't feel like you need to correct ppl who you know are wrong. Besides, in the first example you gave, the woman probably wasn't worth the energy, she might have started an argument, and you might never see her again, or you can hope never to see her again so you might not want to waste your time/energy on her! ; ) I think you're just secure, and want to be polite by letting the small stuff go. Pick your battles, you know. It took me a long time to figure out it was just easier to smile, acknowledge, and let it go. (and then roll my eyes!)
