>>Tee hee! I usually grade according to the quality of argument, rather than the student’s appearance, but I can’t speak for your prof!
--usually, so you mean?? LOL just kidding
>>Seriously, though, I’m sure he doesn’t think you’re an airhead!thats probably debatable lol, when he said I missed the point i said...yeah I thought I had :-), and he looked up ....and I then said I just didnt know how to encorporate *this* into it.....he was silent and said no...what I mean is you were suposed to.......... I do need to follow up becaseu those dots are all I got LMAO
>>I don’t know how it works in your institution, but I’m required to grade according to a set of guidelines and then my marking is moderated by an external examiner. If my grades were unfair they would be challenged pretty quickly. The system doesn’t make grading *completely* objective (I think that would be impossible anyway) but the possibility of having to defend my grading removes any temptation to give someone an A out of pity (or any other reason).
-- I really started to worry that he thought my paper was fluff and with me standing there sounding ditzy and (I had just got off the phone 5 min earlier...they had yelled at me) looking a little possibly distracted i thought it was most likely a pity grade. But Im sure they are required to grade under guidlines too :-)
But thank you thank you! I feel better, maybe it was good work....maybe...
:-)
