I have Ed's photo and he has mine, that way i always has his picture in my head when i write to him. It feels more personal and it's interesting to know what the fellow babbler look like.I can understand this feeling of connection
> I have a web server at my place which i don't use, the idea is that i create a web page with babblers photos.
Be wary of starting such a service with your own server; I'm sure Dr Bob has thought of these things in advance with Babble in question, one opens onesself to unhappy feelings at best and litigation at worst depending on the country in question. Just heads up.
> It could be arranged so that babblers send their photos and nick(and more if you like to) to me which i put on the web page. No one else would know of its existence, and if you wish it could be password protected, a password i post in the forum. Ed and myself are ready, that makes two babblers, we need You for this to be fun!
I would think, at least in my opinion and comfortability that one would be less reticent about posting photos if one could do such a thing "on their own" (some script or something, not sending photos to a third party, unless theres some scanning question involved, although one can usually find a scan place easily in their own country)
Password protection is a must for a sensitive topic as mental health which is not handled gracefully in every part of this country (US) let alone the world. I could post here with my "real everyday" handle but I choose not to, to have a modicum of separation of privacy and those who wish to email me through my more private handle are more than welcome, etc.Just my 2c, some ideas to think, not a show stopper.
