I live like a hermit too. I have a neighbor in my complex who I am friendly with and she calls me daily. I have been doing some temp work that gets me out a little bit but I'm not up to that lately. I can totally relate to Angela2 when she said it's herself, her cats and her computer. That sounds just like me.My neighbor really looks out for me. She is a loyal friend but she is hard to take at times. She is very holistically oriented and she thinks all I need to get healthy is some acupuncture and reiki healing. It's so damn frustrating dealing with that level of ignorance - and she doesn't let up on it.
I've gone long periods of time where I was completely alone and it's better to have the annoying, but caring, neighbor though.
Anyway, sorry to rant.
