I think that they thought that kids would like it. But it tasted funny to me. Not because it tasted any different really, but the colour put me off.
I am from New Zealand. Hokey Pokey icecream is a Kiwi creation so I am wondering whether it has hit the States yet. It is vanilla flavoured (I guess, or maybe slightly toffee or something) with little round lumps of hokey pokey. Not like the inside of a crunchie bar, though, just little hard lumps you crunch with your teeth. It is pretty good :-)
