Hi,
I'm glad you are pursuing this with "gusto".
You have a wonderful new member in your family and this prohibits you from being the person you want and need so badly to be.
It's great that your h/b understands, on whatever level it is, that you should not be left alone and is being there.
I hope by "getting involved" the command section chief means involved in his most powerful way to support you and your family, not something negative. I do know how the military chain of command functions (i won't say works).
It would be sad for you to have to come home and be separated from your husband. Hopefully that won't happen.
