Hello Lonelygirl, so sorry about the email. They always sound so cold and unhelpful don't they? Why don't you mail them back and ask if they could give any pointers to why you weren't successful that might help you in future applications? This shows that you're not taking it lying down, that you've got lots of courage and that you've got spirit enough to take the fight elsewhere!! They might well regret their first decision and I bet they certainly would if they knew you properly. Which they don't ........ Take it that this one isn't meant to be and go on to the next with a hopeful heart. Frederick Forsyth (I used to work with him ages and ages ago) had "The Day of the Jackal", his first novel, rejected 35 times before it was accepted - I would have given up long before, but it just shows that it pays to keep at it!
