> Unfortunately, my son has been very sick since Friday. We actually had to bring him to the ER on Sunday night/Monday morning when he had a fever of 104.3! Turns out it's "just" an ear infection, so we have medicine for him now, but I wasn't able to get out much until yesterday for a bit. I bought all the ingredients I need for the muffins, but the store I was at was out of buttermilk. I'm familiar with the possible substitutions, but they've never quite worked for me. So, I'm going to get the buttermilk somewhere else. I'm *so* anxious to make them, though!
Omg Laurie! How scary to have your little one with such a high temp. Please give that bundle of sweetness some extra TLC. I'm so sorry y'all had to go through that over the wknd.
I do know that a child with a fever like that gets seen right away so that much was good.
> Have a fabulous day tomorrow, Zen! Your godkids are quite lucky to have you as their godmother.
You're kind to say so. They go through phases where I'm the best thing on earth and then I can't even compete with princesses and all things seven and under. I do think that my home icee maker will one again advance my placement in the running for coolest adult they know. My dog is a hit with them as well. One even asked if I was bringing dog to amusement park. lol I said they didn't allow her on the little car rides because she gets carsick. That seemed to satisfy her for now!Be with your family and cuddle up to that keeper of a hubby and watch over your wee one with 'only an ear infection'. I cannot believe some doc would say that to worried parents! I'm just relieved to hear he is being treated and by now the infection should be clearing up.
Have fun whenever you do get a chance to bake.
