I cannot rely on my reaction to a massage - it is either very bad or ectstatic. (I would not want to be caught in between.) My husband massages likes I am a poor cut of beef to be pummeled into submission. - I declne any offers there.
It completely depends on the skill and philosphy of the massuese (massuer). I actually hate coming around from a great massage, only to find that I ache more than before. I take a couple of Advil and chock it up to experience.
