Kristen, I have only known you as galkeepinon, but I have read the many posts from others who have said there were some very bad problems with you in the past on these boards (as Krissy P?). I tried to look in the archives, but all of the posts I read by Krissy P were nothing but helpful, kind and supportive. Can you fill me in on what happened, you seem like a nice person. If not, I understand you may not want to rehash it all. Anyway, I hate to ask, but does your illness make you do things that hurt you/others? If this is the case, if you show a lot of effort in keeping with your docs and the meds, people with similar maladies will likely be more forgiving.
Mental illness can do things to our minds that afterward horrify us when we are able to step back at cetain times. Please know that a lot of us understand that. All we can do is our best to keep the many problems at bay. If you need a new ear, I am "hear" (and I am a psych major - a real one- with real problems of my own too). I am also 37 and not new to dealing with things (I have had bad atypical depression for over 25 years).
Take Care, Searchlight
