Hi,
The new doctor is ok but she said something that upset me very much. She thought I was crying going through my whole history. That was part of it.
After I told her how long I had taken lithium for she said "So you took your lithium like a good little girl?" First of all, I''m in my 20's now and second that was condescending. I told her I questioned my diagnosis all along- I am hard enough on myself for that and that comment made me feel like an idiot for the last 7 years on meds.Then I was upset she said my previous doctor should have lowered my meds last summer. This is just all so hard. On the way home I was crying. Besides that comment- she was fine. Out of 6 doctors, two have said something that made me mad. I don't get people.
So that was that. I should be off lithium in 9 days and hopefully I am making the right decision.
