Doing Better in Canada Bipolar?

Posted by Susan J on August 28, 2003, at 10:21:19

Hey, guys.

How do you know if you are bipolar? Lately I've been feeling great one day and almost suicidal the next. Am I just reacting to a wacky change in environment by being in Canada, or is it something else. Also, I started Wellbutrin 6 weeks ago and I see one of the side effects is to bring out latent bipolar disorder, or something to that effect. Anyone have suggestions on some links?

After a bummy day yesterday, I feel better. I put a sign out on the Y's shared kitchen countertop asking if there are any solo travellers who want to hang out in the pm. And a woman from Germany responded, so now I have someone to do stuff with. I feel a lot less lonely.

(Of course, I still felt bad enough yesterday afternoon to call my therapist in MD crying my eyes out because I was all alone in Canada. So, here I am, feeling good. Please wish me luck on staying like this....Everyone I know here is going away for the weekend, so I have to fill the time myself. I *don't* think it will be bad, but we'll see.

Thanks for being here. It *is* a great comfort when I need it...

:-)

Susan
