Leeran, that made me chuckle a bit. I also use a special voice and dialect when talking to my cat. I don't know where it comes from and I'd be embarrassed if anyone other than my closest family and friends ever overheard. :-) My cat loves it because he knows that I use that voice exclusively with him; it's almost like a special form of inter-species communication.

The funny thing is that I have had different voices for different animals in the past...They just kind of grow out of each animal's personality.... It's a part of the owner-pet relationship. Funny, isn't it?
