AHA!! I did do something out of routine the day I lost them!! Thank you!
It was a colleague's birthday and we were doing a little celebration and my job was getting flowers. I had meant to get them on the way to work, but was running late, so I dashed out the the supermarket just before lunchtime to pick up a bunch of cheap flowers (that turned out to not be as cheap as I'd hoped!). I'm off to call the super market as soon as I log off. I'll keep you posted!!
I forgot about that, although it did occur to me that I lost them somewhwere in the process of coming and going because it was when I returned that I noticed I had no keys.
