I'm dying to try it, however the kitchen we'll be in tomrrow is not mine, it me mum's (see? how's that for brit speak?), so I'll make it when I get back. Sounds absolutely scrumptious... I think you enjoy eating as much as I do!
BTW, I bet real cranberry sauce is best for this. Most people don't know how to make it, and it's so easy. So many Thanksgivings at other people's houses, they have the canned cranberry sauce (sort of like a jelly, which is fine, but not the real thing). I always make it by washing a bag of fresh cranberries, put 'em in a pan with a lot of brown sugar (to taste, some like it tart, some like it sweet), add some orange juice, and some orange zest, and let the berries boil till they've popped and turned liquid-y. Cook through, check sugar, put in a beautiful bowl with more zest on the top, and you're there. It an absolute NECESSITY to have this if you're serving turkey... (Sorry about that, vegetarians). And it spreads nicely on sandwiches made from the leftover turkey, too. Can you tell, I can't wait?
It's snowing outside, and we gotta go for a bit of a drive, so enjoy your day tomorrow, and imagine millions of Americans stuffing themselves at dinnertime. We love it...
thanks again,
(any opportunity to talk about FOOD),
