No, unfortunately, I have never held a Sphinx (hairless cat), but I'd like to. When I went to the cat show, I wanted to pet all of the cats, but the owners/breeders were very protective of their prized possessions! I think they have to be careful about germs being transmitted from one cat to the next, so they don't let others pet their cats. I've also heard that the Sphinxes are very affectionate, cuddly and people-oriented. I wonder whether that is some survival mechanism. I mean, it must be awfully cold without their fur coats. If humans went naked all day long, we'd probably have to be more affectionate and cuddly, too, just to stay warm!
