Not sure if its the same, but I certainly get problems remembering things when I'm depressed. Partly as I am so preoccupied with just trying to survive thru the next painful minute...
I also get a change in how I see things. Its hard to describe it- its like there is half an inch of pitch black darkness between me and the world, which I have to look thru. Makes things seem more unreal.
When you feel very anxious things can seem unreal, and you can feel detached- its a normal self protective reaction to extreme stress.
No particular ideas on coping with it- checking out with your pdoc that its nothing to worry about might be a good start. Then when you feel it happening, you know its just another feature of how you are feeling and not something awful?
If its to do with your depression, it should also improve as your depression improves, so stick with whatever you are doing to get better, too.
