That's a pretty lame response from ANY Doc, even if he was just kidding. He could have made dozens of productive or helpful suggestions, like "go to the mall and watch the people walk by, and try to figure out what they are all about". He could have told you to go to a museum or a play or even something simple like go to a nice book store and cruise the aisles. Sounds like a real bone head to me! By the way, THIS is always a place you can come, and find some really nice and helpful as well as genuinely concerned people. You can even register for the Psychobabble open, and chat live (although it's not the easiest thing to get into).
So.....drop on by and say howdy, ask some questions, share some thoughts, I think you will find a place of comfort here if you invest some of yourself.
