Re-Suicide Agreement (not to)
Today I will email my T and tell her that I do not want to attend the first group session, but do want to see her individually this coming week. I need to check out whether it will be ok for me to talk about my suicidal ideation (in gp and one on one), and express it when I'm feeling it. If I am comfortable that I don't have to stuff any feelings about this issue, or suicide, etc. in group, I'll start attending group at the second meeting.
I do not like the idea of a one year agreement for a lot of reasons--as y'all have mentioned--and just have to weigh the negatives of that (and express the negatives to my T) against going into what could be an excellent opportunity to make additional headway through the fog.
BTW I love the way y'all are straight out with what you think, blunt (I like blunt), no tiptoe-ing around or talking in vague allusions to what you think. That's why I like the Babbles so much, there are so many bright people with definite ideas who will say what they think.
And, sometimes being talked about instead of to...well it happens as part of the process. And, it was interesting in a way to read about me as Shar; sort of achieving a bit of detachment.
Thank you all so much. And, I mean it about loving the blunt, straightforward way y'all talk. It is a relief from so much other mumbo jumbo I hear (we all probably hear from time to time).
