I'm right handed but have depression problems. My two sons with depression are also right handed.
I've read that handedness is on a continuum too but I'm very strongly-right handed. When I had stitches on my right-hand from a dog-bite, I had so much trouble getting the food into my mouth just using my left hand. Couldn't even stir a mix in a circular pattern. I thumped the spoon back & forth. About all I can do with my left hand is scratch & type - it's pretty well useless for much else.
But I can write backwards very easily using my right hand like Michaelangelo did, almost as fast as I can write forward. I once thought everyone could.
