People with Bipolar II get hypomanic (a little less than manic - a little more than normal). Some people think that cycling between depressed and normal (not even hypomanic) is related to bipolar. That should help you decide whether you think you are bipolar and, if you do, give you an idea of why you might not have been diagnosed.By the way, my recollection of the definition of rapid cycling is that it requires 4 or more switches in one year. -Jane
