Willow,
The girl was 15 or so and her father had been murdered, so her mother took her & her younger bro to live w/ their aunt & uncle in Los Alamos, New Mexico. A nuclear hick town where the girl (Davy) falls in love w/ some hot older Mexican guy and deals with her depression over her dead father.
Very emotional book. Any Blume is easy & short enough to read in a sitting or 2. Worth the investment.
