thanks for the good thoughts, dj ~
honestly, things got so bad in a situational sense during and after the time i did neurofeedback i can't evaluate lasting effects.
the interface thing is actually really interesting to me. i had a bit of trouble finding one that suited me, probably because i'm a fussy virgo and have worked for a graphic design software company and love animation a lot. the interfaces i tested were pretty crude technically, but usable. no butterflies. there were only four or five to choose from, including the pacman one. (i think the package being used was a bit more oriented to kids.)
i liked one that had a night sky with a mountain in the distance (reminded me of colorado, which has a lot of emotional associations for me), and there was a road that i was rolling *back* on, not forward. (as the ancient greeks said, we're going backward into the future =;) graphical elements on the road itself and immediately below the main picture showed me how i was doing. there were also beeping noises - those were supposed to be really good, but the tones themselves annoyed me - but for each beep a star came out in the sky. something poetic like that will always hook me.
where did you see butterflies?
cheers,
mars
