Long-Distance Relationships

Posted by w87ylime on August 21, 2006, at 9:45:45

Hello,
New to this message board and have a need for advice about long-distance relationships. I'm about to begin my freshman year in college and also have a high school boyfriend I met during my senior year. We both feel our relationship is serious and want to try to make it work even though we're going to separate schools...one in Illinois and one in Wisconsin. The distance is fairly short but I know it will be difficult. I also still don't know if I want to try dating other people while I'm in college because my high school boyfriend is the only boyfriend I've ever had so far. But I'm also afraid that if I ever choose to date anyone else, I'll lose him forever. I don't want that to happen because part of me can see myself spending the rest of my life with him. Any advice on the subject would be most helpful.
