We'd actually discussed his weekend availability because we realized that there was a possibility they'd decide she needed to be put to sleep. There wasn't any reason for him not to have called. Other than that in my desire to be polite, I left him wiggle room. Leaving my therapist wiggle room generally means he'll wriggle right away. :)

I suppose it's for the best. Part of why I'm so upset is that I am afraid of how alone I'll feel. Yet in truth I am alone in some ways. It's best to keep in mind that he really isn't all that available outside the fifty minute sessions I pay him for.

I still am feeling a bit put upon that this has happened again so soon. Two different once in a blue moon congenital problems in two different dogs of two completely different breeds. What is it they say? That if it's true that God never gives you more than you can handle, then I wish he didn't trust me so much?
