Hmmm....
I'm self pay, and I've never found a pdoc like Emily Elizabeth describes. I'm not dismissing the argument, and I understand the limitations imposed by having to have more clients in the same time. But I think it also has to do with the doctor and his philosophy.
I've never found any of my psychiatrists to be more than tolerable. But I'm pretty sure they're as merely tolerable to their insurance pay clients as they are to me.
