Hello PrincessDi, Very nice to meet you and welcome back to babble!

This happens to me a lot. In fact, it just did this week. I had an exercise I wanted to do and instead got to talking about my week that I ended up running out of time.

I hate when that happens as I've not always been able to figure out my priorities in session. What's going on right now VS what specific issues I'm there to deal with. Then it ends up feeling like things get backed up. I can only push things to the next session so much then I feel like I have a month's worth of stuff to talk about in one little hour. :(

Sometimes she will latch onto a seemingly brief topic and I'll feel irritated with how long is spent on it. If I don't feel a reasonable point is being made, then I'll interrupt by saying something like "well, the point of my saying that was blah blah blah" or "that's neither here nor there" then I move the conversation on.

Now, I've been trying to take notes between sessions. And I actually pull out my notes to help me realize how much I wanted to discuss.

At the very least, the notes help serve as a diary that I wouldn't otherwise maintain.

-Verloren
