(((Deneb)))
I am so sorry you have to go through this..
I often hear of bad experiences students have with counselors available to them. Either the sessions are limited or pdocs are not motivated enough to help. I am not sure whats your Pdocs problem but I really dont like it that she is making you feel all those negative feelings.I am not sure if you have the financial freedom to see a regular therapist, at least once in 2 weeks.. or if you could borrow money from your parents or friends
If you cant afford that, please listen to my advice before you dismiss it. It may sound lame and it will require some time and dedication to work but please try it. Find an activity, I would highly suggest Yoga, but could be painting, singing, martial arts, self defense course, in short something that is physical and creative and requires concentration. Studies have shown that such activities stimulate the right side of our brains and that could lessen the severity of depression and anxiety. But it takes times and perseverance.
I am currently trying to break away from my depression and even though I do see a therapist, I dont put all my eggs in one basket and trust her to magically help me. Talk therapy helps but in combination with other activities that you enjoy and that challenge you, you will get better results.
I am thinking of you and sending you positive vibes, you are not alone.
