It seems an absurd process, to me, to allow so much power on a very important decision to one person.
I hope, given how many statements she made that could be proven factually incorrect, they realize that this reflects more on her as a supervisor than you as a teacher. Even so, it's good to have a plan for a worst case scenario. Let's hope you don't have to use it. Your principal has access to all the information and hopefully has the sense to use all of it.
You're doing great, and it's wonderful that you feel confident doing this without your therapist. My therapist used to annoy me no end by telling me that his absences were a chance for me to stretch my wings and fly a bit further from the nest. If you feel that you've done that and are flying pretty well, you'll at least know your nest is there if your wings get tired or too wobbly. If what's driving you isn't anger or a feeling of abandonment, I think your judgment is fine and you should go with that.
