In reply to Dinah - what happened with the scent?, posted by wittgensteinz on February 21, 2009, at 12:40:50
It was like he was a different person entirely. I'd brought some information on scent and migraines, and he was very concerned that it had made me unwell. He also remembered other times that scent had been a problem for a client or group member.
I left early that day because I was feeling sick, but by the next session it was gone and it's worn off by now.
I do think he may be a bit annoyed still. I asked for and got a hug at the end of the session last time since he was going away for a week and I was feeling a bit unconnected. He commented that I smelled nice and I could see what was going through his mind. But really, there's a big difference between some peppermint scented shower gel from a company that I can admittedly tolerate and a reed diffuser in a small space.
Maybe that's just guilt on my part. Although he's never commented on how I smell before.
