I find this to be so true about benzos and fear. It is a known fact that people who become dependent on benzos in the long run can develop a tolerance to their dosage, and if they do not end up increasing their dosage, may then develop even greater anxiety/fear/agoraphobia due to the GABA receptors being affected so greatly. Many benzo patients are afraid to leave their houses, a classic symptom of tolerance, unfortunately. But then increasing the dosage has its own problems..... IMO benzos would be great drugs if only they did not cause psychological and physical dependency. Just my 2 cents.
