Okay, I have left out a few important details.
culinary-wise
a Cornish game hen- is just a smallish chicken, maybe 2lbs?a fryer is bigger, maybe 5-6lbs
and a roaster? I forgot how big roasters are.
These are all female birds.
Male birds, called capons are usually about 5-6 lbs too. I don't know what the difference is between a capon and a rooster. I'm not sure I want to know...
Now, about these giant "fowl" in Australia, how much poundage are we talking about?
Our turkeys get to be about 15-18 lbs in the wild, and more like 22-25lbs in the farms.
g&t sounds good right now, but I'd like mine virgin please. with diet tonic (yes, they do sell diet tonic here in the USA). I haven't been drinking regularly recently.
please get back to me about the chickens. I'm dying of curiosity.
