The only idea that came to my mind is that you'd have no control over what you produced...
I suspect, though, that that reflects my own, known issues, rather than actual symbolism of the player piano taking up so much room in your bedroom.
What associations do you make when you think of a player piano? Is there anything in your background that makes it resonate for you? What about bedroom issues -- I don't know if you have issues around sex, intimacy, feeling safe in your bed, etc, so I don't know if the bedroom part is significant for you. Could it be a size thing? The fact that the player piano dominated the room, could that be meaningful for you? Or that it's a musical instrument? Could the significance relate to walking into your bedroom -- an intimate, private space where everything should be familiar -- to find something unexpected dominating the space? Maybe symbolic of discovering a previously unseen, but quite integral, issue? Id est: something which was there all along, but you'd never seen it before? Something you hadn't allowed yourself to see before?
Those are the questions I can think of to ask. I figure, since I can't say anything at all about what it might mean, at least I can suggest some questions to ask yourself, and maybe something will set you up to find the answer.
Hope that helps...
