In reply to thinking of going down to once a week, posted by llurpsieNoodle on October 26, 2007, at 10:05:27
Just as our pharmacological needs are elastic, so may our therapeutic ones be also :-) There are times when my T will suggest greater or lesser frequency to our appointments, but she always lets me take the lead... not that I'm ever happy to do that! But it's OK to go down for a while to once a week and see how it goes, and if you are ever in a crisis (who, us??) then an extra appointment can be scheduled in as needed.
I always feel like I'm graduating when I go to every other week appointments, and feel like I'm failing somehow when I have to go once a week, but it's healthier for me to see the sessions as something that we schedule according to what my current needs are. Like I'm worth it.
See how it feels. See how you feel. And take it from there.
