advice on calling my T

i don't want to bother him and i am afraid i will choke. But the biggest thing is i am afraid he will actually ANSWER the phone. i want to just leave him a voicemail. i think just hearing his voice would help and then i could say something without him listening right then.. i think i would be less likely to choke.
but what do i do if he answers? i know i will choke imediately.
