I'm glad for you. Hang on to that feeling of being cared for because you are, and you deserve to be.

I'm glad SHE called YOU. It is such a nice gesture. My therapist will do that too, and though I'm still surprised, I always end up with this little smile. Aren't we lucky?

Sometimes people will say that a therapist should not call a client/patient. That this is disruptive, or makes the client feel like the therapist believes the client can't make it without them. But you know - I've never heard a client say that. And I even asked my therapist once when he called me, "why did you call?" He said he called because he was thinking about me and worrying a little - because he knew I was having a hard time. So he thought he'd check in and just remind me that he was there for me. Then he asked me if it was OK - did I want him to not ever call first? I said no. I was touched.

So I'm glad Laurie reached out and touched you. You certainly deserve it after the past few months you've had.

Thanks for sharing.
Daisy
