Hey, zazenduck.

BTW, I like your name.

Here's a link to the book: "Depressed and Anxious" (I think it wanted an ampersand in the long title; never can tell with these.)

> I bought it some time ago and didn't like it then but I picked it up again and this time it's more useful.

That happens to me, too. I should probably look at Linehan's stuff again because my perspectives have changed a little since I read it.

Marra's first chapter on Amazon, about the link between depression and anxiety, is pretty interesting to me because just in the last week I've realized how much my own depression is linked to fear. In my case, fear of criticism.

I am PARALYZED from brushing my teeth or taking out the trash or reading a book, because I think I'll be opening myself up to savage criticism. For not doing it as well as everybody else or only getting around to it now or whatever. It's insane.

I've only realized this recently because of the success of my antidepressant (buprenorphine / Subutex) and what little work I've done applying mindful acceptance. (Linehan has written books & articles with the mindful acceptance people.)

Marra's first chapter goes into DSM-like categories, which I already know. It doesn't give a sample of what kind of interventions he's talking about, which I'd be really interested in. Is it similar skills training as with borderlines?

I'm glad you posted this. (Although I'm criticizing myself savagely for replying. And using too many parentheses. And not getting the "MAD" acronym 'til just now. And writing too long a post. And... And... LOL)
