How a patient will respond during pregnancy is a very tricky thing to predict. But what I can tell you is that the biochemistry in your brain and body will change.

It may make symptoms of OCD worse, or they could completely go away.

Either way, before getting pregnant you need to work out a plan with your ob/gyn AND a psychiatrist that will support you during your pregnancy.

I've known a lot of so called "mentally well" pregnant women, and sometimes the things that come out of their mouths (especially when they are close to term) convince me that they are possessed. And they have the most beautiful healthy babies. So I wouldn't worry about your thoughts hurting your child.

Just see your doctors and have a plan. I think you will be just fine.
