My understandng is that geneology is very important for Mormons, that they have to retroactively baptise their ancestors? That's what my mother told me, anyway...
What I know is that they do have the best geneological database in the country, if not the world, and that it does contain non-Mormon names, as well. It's worth it. I think about it now and again, and keep promising to head to the Mormon Temple to look through their records. Maybe take my mother with me. Haven't yet...
