Parade sounds fun but cold! It is 74 here today, sunny and beautiful. I think I'd rather have snow.
Yes -- he shared. He is staying home and his kids are coming over. He said he has to make the stuffing and help with the turkey -- I asked if he was doing the cooking. We even talked about board games our families play.
Not that he let me get away with no work -- "are you worried I am going someplace far away? Or, are you worried I won't think of you over the long Holiday?" But these days it is much easier to answer these questions because I have no pride left at all. I made him promise to be there Monday and he said I could call him if I needed to.
My homework is that I have to pick MY favorite kind of potato to make, instead of just making the kids' favorite. He said it was another way to practice getting what I wanted, instead of always being OK with what the other guy wants. We compromised on I could make both types, which is unnecessary, but at least this way everyone is happy. He teased me about this, saying he doubted the boys would die of disappointment if they didn't get mashed potatoes... I told him it's a mom thing. :)
