I think I've mentioned how similar we seem to be.

I think the others are right- it's a kind of tranference. Something traumatic happened to you at that time of the evening, and you are supressing your memories, but your body remembers and goes into hyper-alert stage.

I would suggest going to a T to have them try to help you figure out what happened then and help you work through it so that your body can be at ease.
