I thought the Lucinda Bassett tapes were just another infomercial, but someone I know said they really did help and I think someone on here said that once?
My concern, other than the cost (which is less than therapy when you think about it) is that the commercial makes it sound anti-meds a bit. I happen to be on meds, which I never wanted to go on but I was at a real, severe crisis. Depression had taken away my appetite, sleep and will to live and I was plagued by suicidal thoughts.
That was about four years ago, then I went on meds. I feel better now, for a variety of reasons, but I still have days of anxiety and still worry and ruminate way too much.Maybe I will go off meds one day, but for now, I don't want an anti-anxiety program to make me feel anxious about taking meds, you know? That would add to the anxiety.
Has anyone tried the tapes who is also on meds and did you feel that it was something that could be used in conjunction with them or is she anti-meds?
Thanks.
