10derHeart,
I'm glad you shared your story because I wasn't able to share my intense romantic feelings for my T until he had to terminate me due to his going back to school. We won't be able to go any farther, because he won't let me write him (another story). But your story sounded similar to mine where I waited and waited and finally when it was ending I got up the courage.
To answer the original question, I think it is way more common but that there is so much at stake that not a lot of people say anything. I was just so miserable tat he was leaving and wanting so badly to process it with him that I told my T. But I think a lot of clients suffer in silence. T's have the power to terminate at any time and that's what kept me from telling. It's a crappy set-up...you can tell the T your feelings, but it's a crapshoot what will happen.
