I think the rule is that confidentiality can be broken if your therapist thinks you might harm yourself or others. So, if you let him think that you could convince your pdoc to give you a 90 day supply of sleeping pills, and you plan to take them all at once, he might have leeway to call. But even if he did, your pdoc is also restricted by even tougher HIPPA rules.
Is there a reason you don't want them to talk? It might be a good idea...
