She broke her ankle yesterday morning, called me from the hospital last night. Cancelled today's appointment, now we're on for next Weds. Unless she's not better. I hope she's going to be okay, I hope they gave her antibiotics, hospitals are dreadfully germ-laden environments, and when you get older, as she is, it's so easy to pick up an infection... I feel so badly for her, she sounded so vulnerable on the telephone last night, she sounds a bit alone really, I hope she has someone to be with her and comfort her and take care of her ...
