Dinah,
I think you point up a really important thing and that is someone looking from the outside can't really know the truth about the relationship...sort of like family, isn't it? I've never seen you post anything that really makes me raise an eyebrow about his boundaries. I think I read somewhere that a good therapist has flexible boundaries based on the needs and adaptations of the client. (Flexible boundaries, seems like an oxymoron...) I'd be curious to know what he thinks someone would wonder about.

I have this issue with frequency. If I tell someone the amount of contact I have with my therapist, they think 1) Oh, she must be really a mess or 2) He is encouraging unhealthy behavior. It is hard not to let those thoughts mess with your mind about all of this.
