I agree, but also, have you tried abdominal breathing? That can sometimes help. Or progressive imagery versus tensing and relaxing. Sometimes the tensing makes it worse. Imagine a glowing warmth stealing up from your toes on up. You can let it hang out at your chest as long as it takes for you to feel some softening, or melting of the tension.
